TF: i mean i don't think i'll be much help but i'd like to know how it turns out TF: but, um, maybe we can discuss something else, i mean, since we are, uh, friends, kinda TF: what about your obsession with the color gold?

AC: But if you must know, I believe my 'obsession' with the color gold can be traced to my dreams! AC: Dreams about a beautiful golden city! AC: There were so many awesome people there, and they would always tell me to look up! AC: But because it was so fun, I would just play all day with my friends and look at the shiny golden city. AC: It's a little bit juvenile now that I say it out loud, haha.

AC: But since you asked, I shall endeavor to fulfill your request! AC: A long time ago there was a world filled with gold and light - and also people! Not human people, necessarily, but they were people all the same with good hearts and, what is the word... noblesse? AC: No, nobility. AC: Anyway, these people had waited a long time for their gods to wake, a very long time indeed. They had epics and legends written about their gods, and they would always try to get me to read them. AC: I think I tried once, but the parchment turned to dust when I touched it. AC: ...are you sure this isn't boring? They are just childhood confabulations between my subconscious and my imagination. Nothing of any particular interest.

AC: But if you want to hear about it, I'm happy to oblige! AC: So this golden world of my dreams had six heroes. AC: And these heroes were all humans! Actually, they were kids like me! AC: I think I may have played with some of them, possibly, but if I did it's not something I recall. Most of the time they were asleep, so it's not like I could go pester them much anyway. AC: Except for one of the heroes, his/her tower was always empty! AC: I even hid in that room for a bit, but no matter how hard I tried I just never saw him/her at all. AC: I think I remember being pretty frustrated! AC: ...and that's pretty much all, really. Haven't had the dreams for a while now.

TF: it sounds really interesting, actually, and i'd love to read it TF: did the other kids have any, um, names or anything? TF: i mean, you said you played with them, kind of, right? TF: maybe they were your friends or something

AC: Even dream diaries! AC: So sadly no, most of my memories of that golden world have been lost to the brumes of time. AC: As for the children there, I don't think we ever introduced ourselves! We just sort of played together, like we were already all a big happy family. AC: You know how dream logic is: it doesn't always make perfect sense in a dream, but during the dreaming it seems to be perfectly sane.

TF: or even translate them into something like, um, stories or something TF: they sound like they could be marvelous, er, children's stories TF: you could be the next big children's author, probably!

Children stories have morals and lessons and such! AC: What could be taken from a dream about golden filigree cities and an interminable wait for slumbering gods? AC: But I will take your journal idea into consideration, it sounds like it has merit.

AC: But I will certainly consider the possibility now that it has been brought up! AC: Speaking of dreams though, surely you have had some of your own, with an equally vivid tableau and setting?

If anything, they just make them sound snobby and self-aggrandizing. AC: I would attempt to make my speech a little more casual, but I fear that big words have become a fairly well-ensconced habit of mine. An overreacting defense mechanism against people assuming my English is terrible, possibly. AC: Like so many other things that is neither here nor now though. AC: A dark, purple place, you say? AC: That sounds interesting! AC: If a bit ominous.
