KN: Thank god there's another person who uses proper grammar! KN: You may call me Madame Lola.~ KN: And who may I ask is on the other side of those stiff words, hm? KN: Perhaps a knight in shining armor come to save me from the idiocy of the chumps I've been encountering lately?

EG: Merely a humble tactician with time on his hands to rest his weary eyes on a comforting hue. EG: It's an honor, Madame Lola. EG: Please, call me Veterre.

KN: Oh no, that's not going to do. Much too formal for my taste. KN: Happen to have a nickname or something, mister tactician? KN: Because if not, I'd be more than happy to come up with one of my own.~

EG: Well, let me think. EG: I've only ever been referred to as Mister Veterre and variations of such. EG: I suppose, if it were absolutely necessary, you could refer to me by my given name, rather than my sur. EG: If it were absolutely necessary. EG: It's Alto.

KN: Yes that's much better! Now we're on a first name basis. KN: So Alto.~ KN: Tell me some more about yourself, and how in Darwin's name you managed to stumble upon my chumhandle! I'm actually pretty darn curious about that one. KN: Did Wong give it to you? Because you seem like the type of person he might be talking to, what with the grammar and the vocabulary and all.

EG: On rare occasion, my mind will be overtaken by sheer boredom and lust for action. EG: I am not exactly in a position to act upon this so I will often find myself searching for random chums through this chat engine. EG: And that is just how I came to meet you. EG: Who is this Wong? One of those chumps you've been encountering lately?

You're really testing your luck there. You never know what kind of crazy idiots you'll find on this chat engine. KN: But I guess your gamble paid off, because you stumbled upon little ol' me.~ KN: But nah. Wong is one of the alright ones. KN: A little quirky, but hey. All the great minds of the past were considered a bit off-pace in their prime, right? KN: Normal is /boring/. KN: I prefer a little spice in my life; a little unexpected fire to liven things up.~

EG: Tell me, dear, what exactly constitutes greatness, in your mind. EG: I'm curious to peruse into the depths of what another being finds great. Be it dark or light.

Well, I guess great is kind of a subjective adjective. I should have used something more specific. KN: There's a lot of things that add up to a person's "greatness" for me. KN: Mostly I just see "greatness" as being able to think up ideas and theories no one's thought up before; ideas that go against the grain of society and what most of the cookie cutter people that make up our world believe in. And you have to be able to /act/ on those ideas. KN: It's not good enough to just have all the wonderful thoughts and keep them to a small group of followers. KN: You have to have the balls to share it with the world, even if you know you may get ridiculed or even punished for it. KN: Have no shame! Be confident in what yourself and what you believe, and other people will follow! KN: Oh, and then of course there's the money and the fame. That's pretty great too.~

EG: Your views on greatness are so akin to mine that if I'd seen them on paper, prior to hearing them from yourself, I would have had someone's head for misappropriating my thoughts! EG: My views are... quite agnate. EG: I also believe greatness is born of action. EG: Please go on.

And there goes another point on the positive chart. KN: You're pretty alright so far, Alto.~ KN: But I'm not really sure there's much to go on about on that subject. KN: At least nothing that I really want to talk about. KN: What about you, Alto ol' boy? KN: Lemme find out some more about this mysterious gentleman behind the blue text. KN: Besides gambling, what else are you into? Paint a picture for me.~

EG: No, for me, gambling is only rarely necessary. EG: You see, if I were to come across someone unfavorable through these chats, someone who had a clearly negative disposition towards me with darker than comforting intents then I would more than likely block them or simply ignore their company. EG: Not something I'm fond of doing of course, but an occasional necessity. EG: No, I much prefer to be absolutely sure of things, that mater at least, and make most of my decisions on the safer side. This, of course, does not impede the sheer act of doing, but rather of doing without proper course. EG: My apologies, if given a chance to ramble-- I will. EG: I, my dear, am a man of study. Strategy and wit. EG: Specifically studying the grandeur of great generals and a calmed and tactful morose in battle. Anything from the unforgiving stratagems of The Desert Fox, Erwin Rommel to the quick hand and unfaltering wit of Jose Capablanca. EG: The mind is where my interest lies. What I am "into". EG: My dearest condolences. EG: I can be a bit of a windbag, at times.

You're right about that one. KN: But it's okay. I did ask a pretty broad question after all. KN: So what I got from that is you're a pretty big war nerd. KN: Which, I gotta admit, is pretty cool! Some generals were pretty "great" people with incredible minds. KN: What exactly do you /do/ with this information though? KN: Or don't tell me you're you just one of those studious types who just gather all this information to rub in the faces of their fellows fanatics when they gather for tea in the study?

EG: As I have said, I am a man of action. Doing. EG: But I put my skills to as much use as I can. For now I practice. Honing my skills with tactics at simple games of chess and the occasional handheld game to satisfy my craving for strategy. EG: I wouldn't call myself a war nerd. I don't care for war, I don't care for battle and I don't care for much hostility at all. However, I care for the training of my mind so that if the time arises that it must come to practical use. I will be ready. EG: I do, however, enjoy tea.
