Nobody would consider Alto godly, but he isn't exactly devoid of appeal either. He's cute but that's just his age talking. Really, he's an incredibly average looking fellow. His eyes are exactly as far apart as they should be, his nose is straight and without blemish. His jaw is soft and innocent. He isn't attractive or alluring, he's just not in any way unattractive. One thing that is appealing about him, however, is his sweetness. While he may be dangerous with his firearms, he looks like a regular kid. And, for all intents and purposes, he is. But something that shines through is the innocence and the look of sheer vulnerability that makes you think twice on hurting him. He looks so sweet and so honest. When you look at him you just want to protect him. To coddle him like the child he is and hold him and make sure he's safe.
★ COMMON WEAR:
If Alto had a choice, he would wear whatever was lying around and leave his wardrobe up to fate. But his Uncle has differing intentions. Alto's wardrobe will only ever be stocked with the finest tailored clothing, fit to he, and his caretakers will see he is dressed well and fashionably before he is allowed to make his way from his room. Summary? Classy as all get out.
★ OTHER FEATURES:
Throughout Alto's "rebellious streak" with his Uncle, he has come to wield a good sum of scars. The scars are never anything horrifying. They are all almost invisible and are so few and far between that to notice one and then the next would be a miracle.
He does, however, have one blemish that cannot be ignored. That is the piercings he has on his collarbone. Three flat cylinders on each clavicle, that's six in all, running along the line of the bone. The story of how he got them is a long and convoluted one but he'll never tell. If he didn't wear shirts that covered his chest completely all the time, he'd surely be found out. He's very careful with this as he isn't all too sure how his Uncle would react. He fears the worst in his Uncle in that he might just take them out himself.[/style][style=width: 455px; margin-top:13px; border-bottom:2px solid #101010;][/style][style=background-color: #242424; opacity: 0.8; color: #C26A72; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 8px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; width: 70px; padding: 3px; border-right: 2px solid#101010; border-left: 2px solid#101010; border-top: 1px solid#101010; border-top-right-radius: 15px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 15px; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 15px;]PERSONAGE[/style][style=width: 425px; padding: 15px; color: #816f74; font-family: helvetica; font-size:9px; text-align: justify; height: 150px; overflow: auto;]★ POSITIVE:
He's always had a strong control over himself and the decency to hold back when he really, really wants to hit something; either literally or, in his preferred medium, verbally. He didn't spend years of dodging verbal strife with his uncle and not walk away with the ability to keep his mouth shut.
• CONSIDERATE
Never one to pick a side, Alto will always view things from each pair of shoes, even if the opposing is opposing he. He'll also find himself doing things for others without really thinking on it. He gets some sort of satisfaction out of seeing others pleased.
• ORGANIZED
If anyone is to have the "clean desk" and color-coded shirts or what have you; it's Alto. He likes things to be where he can easily get to them and might just dig sprucing things up. Might. I say that sparingly because acid might be reading this, wink-wonk.
• INQUISITIVE
Alto is always looking for a new thing to 'discover' so to speak. He loves to think and contemplate things. His eyes are sharp and he's very perceptive, which probably leads to exactly why he enjoys his detective cases. He's good at them.
• MATURE
Far beyond his years. Alto has been kept locked up for so long that he's had no choice but to grow up. He's discovered that if he truly wants something, he has to get it himself. He can't be dallying in childish pursuits (whining) when he could easily be reading or taking out baddies in one of his Strategy RPG's.
• INTELLIGENT
It may have been touched on when reading and Strategy were mentioned, but Alto is a bright little kid. He's quicker than most his age, which isn't saying much but hey, and only continues his intellectual pursuits via constant reading, testing and trying of his mind and through all of the convoluted detective games he devises.
• SWEET
It might even be too sweet so as to be bitter. He gets a lot of enjoyment out of pleasing others and will try his best at it. His specialty is anonymous little gifts that people stumble upon. He makes sure their gifts though. He would exactly get a vegetarian reservations for a steak dinner.[/ul]
★ NEGATIVE:
The negative twist to Alto's ever-present consideration. He's a goddamn worry wart. Granted he keeps his calm when shit hits the fan, he still cares about each and every little thing. Sometimes the overzealous consideration for each and every member of the team can get... scary.
• NAIVE
He's fucking twelve. I mean, seriously. He may act like he's forty, but he's fucking twelve. The phrase, "You don't know the half of it." when said about Alto, can literally be said about half of fucking everything. He really doesn't understand that much and the blatant innocence, while cute, is a serious liability.
• EASILY DISTRACTED
Alto might just have a touch of ADD. He's got his head everywhere, always searching for the next clue. At least, that's his excuse. He doesn't really know why he's so obsessed with the details (especially when they don't matter) and tends to shrug it off, be it brought up.
• ASSUMPTIVE
If he wasn't as tactful as he was, this would be pretty damn notable; Alto assumes everything. He'd be a pretty lackluster detective if he wasn't so assumptive. But when he isn't under duty's call, he just sort of comes off as a melodramatic prick.
• ECCENTRIC
Emotionally, although it's damn hard to know it, Alto's a bit of a wreck. He can be eccentric and wild and confusing and everywhere and-- oh look, he's everywhere again. He moves quickly and points a lot. He love talking and does so fast. The better half of his words might just be unintelligible. But never mind.
• SELF-DEPRECATING
The darkest region of Alto's personality. Some part of him is convinced that everything that's happened to him; his fucked situation, the desolation of his caretaker's personalities (and moreover, his own), the absolute darkness he feels every day in from his uncle and his own dark twisted reservoirs of his mind, are his fault. His doing. He's convinced that every bad thing in his life is a product of his own misguided ill decisions.[/ul]
★ LIKES:
Specifically strategy or tactical games. He likes games that will challenge his head. If he runs out of batteries for his handheld, which is a rare occurrence-- he's vigilant with that thing, he won't move too far from the strategy scene and sit own to a game of chess. He likes video games in particular because they're simplistic and he likes the funny noises.
• PUZZLES
For the same reason as he likes his strategy games. Anything to help keep his ticker in tip top shape is golden to Alto. He feels that the constant complaints of older folks in regards to slower heads is due to, not old age but, lack of preemptive action. Alto is taking the initiative, so to speak, and getting a jump on his Alzheimer's.
• EXTREME WEATHER
The raging elements, in general. Alto likes it when the shutters crash against the walls in the sixty mph winds. The raging downpour of rain in the deepest depths of Autumn and the humbling frost of a blizzard in the unforgiving Winter. With the only exception being gruelingly hot days, Alto loves being in touch with his surroundings.
• LITERATURE
With scant much to do in his uncle's care, Alto, one day, came across the grand library. He fell in love immediately. Ever since, he's spent the better part of his days among the massive shelves, reading anything from Revolutionary Philosophy to The Finer Parts of Late 17th Century Botany.
• NATURE
In particular, the calm quiet kind. Sure, he digs a storm here and there, but all the other time it would nice to just live in a forest with like-- babbling brooks and shit. In his opinion at least. He loves the way nature makes its own biological music. The way just everything. Man. Gosh.[/ul]
★ DISLIKES:
Not with puzzles. Those are the best. Alto mostly dislikes complex people, or at least those that flaunt their complexities. He's always been a really simple kid and has on rare occasion been able to connect with somebody who worries over little things that are all too insignificant, like hair and shit like that.
• DRAMA
Who doesn't? Sometimes drama is necessary and Alto can attest to that, but he knows that most drama isn't necessary. Most is a needless ploy for attention. Alto steers clear of both the drama and the people that brew it.
• ULTIMATUMS
Something that always stuck with Alto in a bad way were the damn ultimatums his Uncle would give him. Do this or this will happen. The idea of being roped into something, trapped, is something that doesn't sit well with Alto and he tries hard to avoid these situations. It's a shame he's stumbled upon Sburb then, isn't it?
• SMOKE This is one of those things that doesn't really need an explanation outside of he just doesn't care for it. His distaste may go back to some locked away memory of his life before his uncle, but Alto would never be able to know. For now he chalks it up to a simple distaste. It's good enough for him.
• MODERN MUSIC Too much bass! Alto likes classier, older pieces. He finds that a rich smoothness seems a reoccurring theme and it makes a good soundtrack to his rather uneventful life. This is one of the few things Alto and his uncle can agree on without falter.

★ HABIT:
- LOSING HIMSELF
In things. Like games. He isn't on the brink of a meltdown guys; calm down. Anyhow. He will often find himself hours into a new game after only starting minutes ago. Or at least, he was sure it was minutes ago. It isn't just spacing out either. He tends to go on tangents of thought when a situation or a puzzle really gets him thinking. He'll usually detach himself from his emotions and get down to figuring something out under the circumstances of an extremely vexing puzzle. - CHEWING FINGERNAILS
This should be self-explanatory. He'll bite his fingernails absentmindedly from time to time. It isn't a nervous tick so much as it's just a tick that shows up from time to time. In no way affiliated with a nervous connotation.
★ FEAR:
- LETTING SOMEBODY DIE
A rational fear. If somebody did die when he could do something about it he would almost undoubtedly blame himself. He like people to a significant degree, even if he doesn't interact with them that often, and will try his hardest to save them. This might be less of a fear of someone dying and more a placeholder for an unknown staple of Alto's narcissistic and egotistical need for a feeling of self-importance. - SPIDERS
What? A guy can't just be scared shitless of spiders nowadays? Well, fine. The fact is, Alto kind of likes them. Spiders, that is. They're so peaceful. It's just. A while back there was a bit of an incident. An incident that Alto has done well to block out of his memory. At this point his interactions with spiders are just a subconscious precaution. Sometimes they just seem... Mean, okay?

[/style][style=width: 425px; padding: 15px; color: #816f74; font-family: helvetica; font-size:9px; text-align: justify; height: 150px; overflow: auto;]★ STRIFE SPECIBUS: Alto's never really been one for fighting. In fact, he doesn't actually have a weapon loaded up into his strife specibus. His pursuits have always favored a much more tactical appeal. The prospect of actually doing battle is... far-fetched? He does have a gun and an uncannily huge supply of ammunition in the bottom of his wardrobe in case somebody breaks into his house. He can fire it well and has intrinsically decent accuracy, but he isn't about to rush into a horde of zambies.
★ FETCH MODUS: The lavishly named Musician's Soul Deck is a godsend. The premise of the deck is quite simple in that it holds fact that each and every object on this planet has its own song. Its own collection of notes and tones. When picked up and put into the Sylladex the object in question transforms into a collection of notes that must be memorized and then sung by Alto to be retrieved. It isn't a complicated process outside of the sheer pressing amount of jingles Alto has to memorize. As it sits, the Musician's Soul Deck has no proportions or boundaries to be broken as the only essence contained within is idle sound.
Most objects are incredibly fitting in their song whereas a few will be tricky and be off in meaning. Also, the length of a song can be deleterious to utilizing the subject tool. It is a running theme, however, for objects with longer songs to be more useful or important, and songs with more of an unearthly, off-putting tone to be much rarer to the universe. In example; In the situation where a rare, unworldly metal is needed to accomplish some significant and life-changing task, it's song, were Alto so inclined to pick the object up, would be frighteningly horrific and unheard and the length would just be ridiculous.

BACK STORY
[/style][style=width: 445px; padding: 15px; color: #816f74; font-family: helvetica; font-size:9px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto;]★ GUARDIAN / ANCESTOR: It's hard to believe there's a man out there a greater mystery to Alto than his own Guardian. His uncle is a walking enigma. With cane in hand and cold steely glare in the other, creepy, he walks the halls of wherever the pair is currently staying. Notably he makes sure wherever they're staying has halls to walk. Alto's uncle is alwaysAlto has his inklings and inferences set on the fact that his uncle is involved in some sort of illegal mob business. Alto's smart, he sees this shit okay? He secretly likes his uncle, but won't let him see it. So far he's been treating his uncle with his 'rebellious streak'. It's worked alright so far but he has his feelings his uncle might be catching on.
★ HISTORY: Once upon a time Alto was born. Just kidding. He wasn't born. Some shit about a meteor and he ended up in his uncle's care. He was home-schooled and given the best teachers or whatever and consequently has become a bit of a shut-in. Alto was always a bit of an outsider due to his constant moving around with his uncle. Job business or what have you.
It wasn't until Pesterchum and the Internet that he stopped wallowing away in his petty kiddish emotions and got a fucking pair. Alto now is a bit of a social butterfly and runs his own blog with large enough a following to be considered significant on the internet scene. Through his internet savvy he found himself a decent enough hacker. He managed to track the shipping of some indie game he'd had his eye on for some time. Now he has a copy of the sburb beta that somebody else surely would have messed up. Good thing it's in his fated hands.[/style][style=width: 455px; margin-top:13px; border-bottom:2px solid #101010;][/style][style=width: 445px; font-family: arial; color: 816f74;text-transform: lowercase; text-shadow: 0px 0px 2px #949494; letter-spacing: 2px; font-size: 8px; text-align: center;]THIS CHARACTER HAS BEEN CREATED BY SANDY.
