Heya Wonk. Sandy here to bring you some saucy ships between our very own denizens of the site. The members. That's right. We're finally getting a fully operational, regularly updating Member Shipping Chart up. Just for you lovely, lovely members who want to express yourselves in the sweetest of ways. Through romance.
The setup isn't complicated. You respond with your relationship with another certain someone on the site. Now, we don't support Shipping with everyone. If you want to be loose, be loose. Want to spread it around? Feel free. But not here. You get one slot for each quadrant which you can fill with one fellow member. Now that doesn't mean we can't have unrequited ships! Those are what I like to call... dynamics.
The first quadrant is also the most likely to occur. The Pale Red quadrant, or Moirallegiance. The closest you can compare this to a human relationship would be best friends. But it's a bit more than that. It's a pair that would do anything for each other. To protect each other from everything. And that includes themselves. A complex ship, but one of the sweetest. I say it's saccharine cloying bullshit, but hey, who am I to be sharing my opinions. This is for you, the members.
The second quadrant is a bit more... how shall I say- passionate? The concupiscent of the two so far. The flushed red. Matespritship. Full of romance and devotion and passion. As far as humans have striven to reach a solitary explanation they have only come to one word. Love. Sweet, sweet love. Not the love I feel for you, the reader. But rather the love you feel for your spouse, or significant other. It's a spicy quadrant indeed. Just make sure you use protection, kids.
Ah, the third quadrant. A tough quadrant to explain. This is the furthest from anything us humans actually do. This is our ashen black quadrant. The most conciliatory of shades. This is when two people hate each other very much so as to require a mediator. That mediator is know as the pair's auspistice. This auspistice is also known to prevent "black infidelity." Meaning, if two people have separate kismesis relationships (which I'll get to in a second) and they grow to form a kismesis of their own then the auspistice sort of steps in and puts a stop to that right then and there.
At last, the most... saucy of these ships. The dreaded kismesitude. Romantic hatred. That is, it's based on all of the things that a Matespritship is only with a mutual hatred, rather than a mutual love. Now, this isn't quite the same as actual enmity. There is a clear desire to keep the relationship going, without killing the other that is. You know me, and you know Kermy. If there was a better example I would have used it.
The Pale Red Quadrant, or Moirallegiance is represented by Diamonds while the Flushed Red Quadrant, or the Matespritship, is represented by Hearts. On the other end of the Shipping Spectrum there are the Black Quadrants. The Ashen Black, or Auspistice, is represented by Clubs while the Calignous Quadrant, or Kismesitude, is represented by Spades.
Start Shipping, Wonk.
