You enter your house, closing the door behind you as you take your shoes off. It's awfully quiet, and for once you don't even hear your loud neighbors shouting off in the distance like the regularly do. Really, you find it quite peaceful. With your mom off at work lately, things have been a bit lonely, but you've at least had time to do things you enjoy. In fact, you just came home from a friend's house, carrying with you some game called SBURB BETA and a bottle of chocolate milk you picked up at the nearby gas station. Fun.
==> GO TO YOUR ROOM
You live in a two-floor apartment somewhere in downtown PORTLAND, MAINE. You head to your room in the upstairs portion of the home, making sure to close the door behind you once again. Upon sitting down at your desk, you login to your computer and proceed to open the game you've acquired earlier. The package contains the CLIENT and SERVER disks. You really don't know what that means, or what this game is, for that matter-- you got it from a friend, who got it as a gift from their visiting grandparents. Fortunately for you, your friend doesn't much like video games. You, sadly, don't have much else to do with your time. Bored, you've contacted a friend or two and have decided to play it with them.
==> LOAD THE GAME
Once your computer loads, you promptly set the client disk in your drive and begin to load the game. You sigh; this might take a while. What will you do whilst it loads?
==> DRINK SOMETHING
Oh, right, that chocolate milk you bought earlier. You open it with a yawn, and proceed to take a sip. Mm, yummy.
==> GO DOWNSTAIRS
How refreshing. Now, you go downstairs to the kitchen. While you were at the gas station, you forgot to get food. How stupid of you! After reprimanding yourself for your idiocy, you grab an orange and return to your room.
==> RETURN TO YOUR ROOM
You return to your room, and-- OH! It appears that Sburb has loaded, and in such short a time. How convenient. Now, you think it's a good time to pester one of your friends, LINK, who plans to play this game with you. ==> PESTER A CHUM Pulling the popular chat service up on your computer, you begin to type.
